Alannala is a winner of Freeman Fellowship 2002-2003.  He arrived the village, Johnson on October 27th, 2002 and started his two month-long residency at Vermont Studio Center. He held his solo exhibition at Red Mill Gallery in VSC before he had his trip to New York.
