After his residency at Vermont Studio Center, and before the New York trip, on December 20th, 2002 Alannala visited the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Washington DC, where collected his painting of 1997, "Chrysanthemum". Alan not only had a reunion with his own picture, but also watched other Hong Kong artists' art works, included paintings by famous experts such as Fang Zhao Lin, Kwok Mang Ho, Liew Come Tong, Yu Sai Kin, Bobby Ng......etc. In addition, after the introduction by the Director General, Mr. Edward Yau, Alan understood the importance of HKETO to promote the Hong Kong economics and trade development; and each HKETO with exhibits of different styles by artists from Hong Kong, has established the bright image full of energy and cultural diversification. |
